The Gary McCullough Outreach Centre
In 2010, the charity officially branched out in their work at the House of Hope site.
For some time, we have had a member of staff working amongst the people of the local villages and area surrounding the House of Hope complex. Marina Gaidaenko does many different activities from her base in the Outreach Centre, including distribution of food parcels to local families, children's clubs and also catering for the children from the House of Hope in doing various crafts and games.
The Outreach Centre is also the new accommodation facility for summer teams. Previously, taking teams to the House meant putting some children out of their beds for the duration of a team's stay. Whilst the staff and kids of the House were more than happy to do this, we felt it was inappropriate and asking too much for them to put them out in such a way.
So, to support the hard work of Marina and her assistants, and also to avoid inconveniencing the children and staff for the times we visited, we re-purposed what was intended to be a garage into proper living and working accommodation.
